You may have seen these ads on tv recently, which have been frustratingly vague. Well, today's the 11th, so it's out. GM has just introduced it's Volt, a rechargeable electric car that gets 230 mpg in the city. It runs off of a battery for the first forty miles, then a small combustible engine kicks in for the next 300. The Volt gets more than four times it's biggest competition, the Toyota Prius.
